The MFL is a national organization headquartered in the Washington Metropolitan Region that is dedicated to preserving amateur athletics.

The purpose and objectives for which the MFL is organized

To promote and foster minor league football.

To obtain national sponsors, radio and television contracts to promote the MFL and its member teams.

To promote and foster a “farm system” for the National Football League, World League, and Arena Football.

To offer young players a professional atmosphere in which to develop playing skills.

MFL will recruit, develop, and retain 28 national teams. The teams will be placed into one of five divisions. Each division will allow for reasonable accessibility to other teams.

With national sponsors and major media support the major goal of the MFL is to give minor league football talent the recognition it deserves.
